Has everybody gone as mad as rabbits? I keep my cool while I just feed my habbits. I try my best to keep my nose out of shit While everybody runs around and gets all caught up in it. I hate the news because it's never any good. Don't ask the doctors for opinions though I should. Ain't heard an order from my momma in years. She don't bother. Stubborn bastards don't deserve any tears. I got a secret that'll turn your mind around. It's not a recipe. Don't try to write it down. It ain't in bottles or in bags or in pills. It's all of that and everything along with my living will. Settled in my ways. They say I'll end up alone. They go out every night and leave me at home. I got my studio and that's all I need. Crack a bottle, take a rip and play 'til my fingers bleed.

(My hands, my hands) My hands, they steady shake (My head, my head) My head is such a mess. (I'm home, I'm home) The day is done and I feel like I've got more work to do. (Come home, alone)It's the feeling I get. It's all in my head. Only the bottle will do. (I can't relax) And I can't even sleep. (My nerves, my word) The thirst, it lies inside. (I picked you up) I went out of my way to bring you home. You've got some work to do. (You gotta build me up) The whole ride home I've been feeling so low And it's all due to you. Sweet Caramel, I love you. Sweet Caramel, I hate you. Sweet Caramel, I'll leave you home. You know I only want you. You know I only need you. Sweet Caramel, Let's stay alone. You say you want to take me out for just a couple of drinks. You say you'd like to see me stay for just a couple more. I say "no problem. I just need a little time to think." You turn it up. I take it down until I hit the floor.
3.
Two for me. Two for you. One to sip. One to shoot. You say "Shotgun". I say "Regatta". Shotgun Regatta. Shotgun Regatta. Turn it up. Take it down. You look at me. I look at you. 8 o'clock. Nothing to do. Step on the porch. turn on the light. Grab your keys or your knife. We're gonna party tonight. I ain't wasting no more time. Squeeze every drop out of this life. I'm the winner and I'll admit it. My blood is thinner and I can't feel shit. If you don't know by now you oughta. You say "Shotgun". I say "Regatta".

I need a little adventure. I been out all night alone. Thought I'd mix it up a little bit, going stir-crazy at home. Now it's getting late and the bar is closing down. Gonna drive my shit like I stole that bitch, running lights all over town. This will be the longest night I've ever lived in all my life. When what to my wandering eyes should appear, The red, the white and blue flashing in the mirror. I laugh to myself and I light my cigarette. Just five more minutes and I could've been home. I could've been home in bed. This will be the longest night I've ever lived in all my life. You gotta play the odds to win. Your number comes up now and then. I know. You can have all my money if you need the dough And you can throw your words around. Try all you want to bring me down. But you can't break this shit. I'm still partying.
5.
Hey Brother. Can you spare a little love tonight? I'm bloodied up. I'm broken down. I've lost the will to fight. You always know the words to say To pick me up when I'm down. Put all my pain in the ground. You always give it a sound. What do you call that sound? (WHAT?!) Yeah, what's the name of that sound? Hey Brother. I got all the love and time you need. I'm home. I got no plans. Nothing to write. Nothing to read. Life is so simple over here. It picks me up when I'm down. Puts all my pain in the ground. I always give it a sound. What do I call that sound? (WHAT?!) Here is the name of that sound. Step One: Let the drums drop in. Step Two: Lay a pocket-ass bass groove. Step Three: I need electric guitars. Step Four: Put it all together. Write a couple words about the nasty weather.

I've got this little place under the radar up above. It's nothing much, but with a little bit of help and a little bit of love It could be a solid place to stay. A fine way to spend the end of days. It's a rooftop above the seventh floor. I've got guns and food for days and weeks and months, And then I've got some more. I drink beer and sit in the lazy chair. Hunt the walking dead that are everywhere. You can go it alone or you can come with me. All alone surrounded ain't no place to be. They want your brains and they want 'em free. Stick with me and they can't afford the fee. Make a move, they're coming fast. You run for now but that won't last. Seen this story all my life. You're on their side or live on mine.
7.
I can't promise time. I can only promise me. And I'm free. And you can ride with me. And I'd like the company. But just know one thing first. You're really not my type. But you look good and fun, so I don't mind. So you'll never last a month. And every bit of fun we have, I'll be just thinking of another one. Maybe the one that got away. Maybe the one that tried to stay. Maybe the one who wouldn't give me the time of the day. But it won't be you. But you look good and fun, so you will do. Say you will. Say you will. Say you'll leave before the sun come up. Don't get me wrong. I believe in love. And I'm dying for the day when I ask someone to stay. But if you're not the one, and this is only fun, Then promise me one thing.

about

All music written, rehearsed, performed, recorded and produced by MELBOURNE between March and October of 2012. (With a four month hiatus in between because we thought we were going to be big-time animators for a show called "Port Harbor" that we were creating) at Anytime Studios in Gulfport, Florida. Not that it matters, but to absolve Ryan Brechak from accusations of insanity, all words written by Jeremy Brechak.
